In view of the complexity of Palestine revenue adhesives and the different approaches taken by catalogue editors, I offer on this page my own cross-reference table to enable the reader to see how my listing relates to those of Bale, Wallerstein and Barefoot. I have simplified the table by omitting shades, perforation changes, watermark orientation, overprint errors and plate varieties wherever possible.
This page includes the following types of Palestine revenues:
- Court Fee
- Devair Resmi
- Hejaz Railway
- Immigration and Consular Fee
- Jerusalem Municipality
- Ottoman Public Debt Administration
- Revenue (Turkish adhesives handstamped EEF)
Impressed stamps, labels, and revenue use of postage stamps and tobacco excise are not included since these are not listed by Bale or Barefoot, and only the first two categories appear in Wallerstein. I have also excluded the very straightforward De La Rue Revenue series (my R101/7), about which all the catalogues are in agreement.
For each appropriation a table sets out the catalogue numbers in my listing and the equivalent numbers in the catalogues by Bale, Wallerstein and Barefoot. For full bibliographical details see the main Palestine page.
The lists are set out in numerical order according to my listing, except for Turkish adhesives handstamped EEF, which I have listed in order of ascending face value for the benefit of readers unfamiliar with Ottoman revenues.
