An example of AB21 is known on piece cancelled SEYCHELLES STAMP DUTY 25-12-01, as shown below. This is an essay for a red embossing cancel, with a fictitious date (Christmas Day). Another essay for the same cancel is known on plain brown paper, as illustrated below right. The year (01) probably indicates that the essays were prepared in 1901. This cancel has not been recorded on an issued stamp and it is possible that the essay was rejected.
